Today I am thankful for sloppy joes.
No, I did not eat them. But Amber came over specifically because she wanted me to teach her how to make sloppy joes. At least that's what she said she came over for. I think she just said that for an excuse. Regardless, she came over to hang out and eat sloppy joes. And play Guitar Hero. And it made me smile. :)

Today I am thankful for oatmeal scotchies.
It was definately more of a memory thing than a cookie thing. But I baked them and they served their purpose.
And I still miss my grandpa.

Today I am thankful for the grocery store.
I know that sounds odd. It is. But I was at the grocery store tonight. And I'm standing there in the middle of one of the aisles and it occured to me that it is an amazing thing. We have these stores and sometimes mega stores that have thousands of options. Thousands of readily available food stuffs. No effort really required on our part. Give them some cash and they'll give you the foods that you need to sustain yourself. And even some foods no one needs at all.
And in other countries, they sit and wait for the relief deliveries to provide nothing but rice. And for that THEY are thankful.
